i tried to spot the watches seen in the cousteau's movies and worn by the team
in the famous "silent world" in 1955, cousteau himself wears what i suppose to be a rolex james bond
some say it's a small case lip blancpain, i still have doubts

andré Laban, first diver, wears a big case blancpain

with the original wire strap

later, Laban will wear a james bond too (???) (here in his first attempt in underwater art painting)

blancpain or rolex ???

another shot of the fifty in "the world without sun"

here's a pic showing Falco with a blancpain

at this time they certainly had no "official" watches
then about 1965, they all had the aquastar deepstar chronograph

100 meters water resistance, valjoux 23

after about then years they were replaced by the omega seamaster 1000

Albert Falco

cousteau

the mesh bracelet

Bernard Delmotte

then came the doxa 300 T, their last watch before the digital quartz watches appeared

US divers logo

Jean-Michel Cousteau wearing his doxa

Falco

Joe Thomson, pilot of the "Beaver" submarine with his doxa

a guest scientist wearing a doxa t-graph

in the same period, the seldom seen omega ploprof

falco with his ploprof

the Cousteau brothers wore both rolex submariner since the sixties

Jean-Michel in the eighties

Philippe Cousteau

date window

also, Cousteau himself is never seen wearing a diving watch after the rolex james bond, except for a unique 310 feet dive, see the seamaster 1000 up in the page

but he wears the omega marine chronometer when dry

his son too

or sometimes, a day/date rolex

various other watches can be seen like this electric balance lip nautic-ski worn by Bernard Delmotte

two crowns supersompressor case

tropic strap

Albert Falco

also found with orange dial

Falco again

this you need to know well to spot, but the springed band leaves no doubt: ZRC étanche grands fonds

winding at 6

nivada grenchen dephtomatic???

it seems it is

Aquastar seatime

here are some i couldn't give a name

aquadive caribbean 1 piece case?

unknown watches

??
this is a non exaustive review and i'll be glad to get any comments or aditional pics
